Everyone has been sick and finally Jake got it. So on top of the cold weather and everyone vegging on the couch it was a little difficult to get out the door to do a long run. Had intentions but instead did a gym session in the morning and then about 7 on the tred in the evening. Really sick of the treadmill and hoping that sometime soon it will heat up. It's so hard for me to even get my miles past 40 i feel like. Ready for spring time and being able to take matthew and the dog out in the afternoon for some longer runs. I'm just not going to stress too much about how many miles i'm getting in right now. As long as I get my 3 minimum everyday i'll be happy with that. 

Started getting some 2 a day lifting session this week. Since I'm lifting at 530 am with my schedule I have a little bit of a break in between clients so i'm able to get about another 45 min metcon/skill building workout. Hoping that will help make up for a the lack of miles but we'll see!

I feel dumb even logging 2.5 miles since its not my minimum 3 but I didn't really care too much. I'm STILL COUNTING IT to keep the streak alive! Had to jump off early because we were running late to a super bowl party.

Am gym session-- 

warm up 200 s/u, 25 squats, 25 ghd, 25 rope battles 

2 min squat test 

SWOD

  • front squat 8x3 strict GHD 8x3 -- todays max was only 95lbs.

WOD

  • 8 min AMRAP
  • 6 thrusters(55lb)
  • 6 KBSwing (35)
  • 6 ea. floor wipers(55)

6 rounds completed + 4 more reps. 

Afternoon gym session---

SWOD--- 5 x power clean (adding weight each round till no rep complete)---only 95 lb. body felt fatigued from earlier. 

workout-- 

  • 5 strict pull ups
  • 10 hang cleans(65lb)
  • 20 walking lunges(front rack position)-65 lb. 
  • 20 burpees 
  • 30 push ups 
  • 40 squats
  • 50 GHD sit ups

PM- 6 mile run on the tred.

worked out this morning at the gym. pretty hard workout. and then came home and hopped in the treadmill for 5. was planning on doing more later in the day but Jake jumped on after me and it broke while he was running on it.....perfect timing. So hopefully I can get a run in...i tried to put a piece for temporary use but i'm worried it wont work. Jake will be gone this weekend and its just waay too cold for matthew to be outside. I dont think I could run hard on the treadmill but I'm going to try it out today and see how it holds up. gotta just get 3 to keep the streak alive right??
