Before we headed back home we did a quick 8 miles. Felt really heavy from taking off the past 2 days. Supposed to be a gorgeous day tomorrow so planning to do my first 16 miler since marathon training last year. I think I've done enough miles and feel confident on my fitness right now. The only question is to sleep in or go in the afternoon??

Nursing a 5 month old and planning morning runs is more complicated than I thought it would be. I guess welcome to parenthood right? Well, excited to see how it goes. So ready to be home and back on a schedule. Vacations are great but I'm ready to hit the training hard this summer and really build up a solid base.

-run 55-60 miles

-back on the diet.

Got the long run in and felt pretty good. It was clear day and the sun was out, but not too hot and we had a slight breeze. Felt good the first 8, and then right around 12-13 it was definitely noticeable that most of my runs have been right around there.

Ran on the river at 1230 in the afternoon in about 90 degree weather. Definitely times like those that i love having a stroller. Averaged about 7:50 pace with a few slower half miles through the halfway mark.

V-up --- got to about 4 minutes an had to move down the weight to only 45 pounds. I held up to about 8 and then my arms started giving out. I can definitely feel my core holding me back in workouts. Unfortunately I don't think it'll get back to normal for about a full year. Kills me though because my core used to be so strong pre-baby.

And your core is the root of every exercise/run. Just need to keep consistent!

AM- did 9 around Edmond with Bailey this morning. My legs at first felt pretty tired from taking off after the 14 and lifting yesterday. Going to go lift this morning, and the run a few miles tonight at the river.

Been out for the week with a bad sinus cold and a minor back injury. Went out for a few miles to see how the back would feel. Felt a little tight but nothing like earlier this week. Going to just take the next week really slow and build back up my miles.

Went with the family to Turner Falls for the day. It was a hot one!...and pretty hilly. Got there a little later since Matthew was sick and slept in, and didn't start running till about 2! Only ran about 5 but the back felt much better! Going to shoot for at least 10 tomorrow

Afternoon : 5.6 Ran around Edmond with Matthew and the wind and the heat was brutal.

PM: 5 miles at the river run. Thought I would probably walk since I had the stroller but I was able to hand it off on his way back at around 2 miles for me. Got 5 in and for how dehydrated I was didn't feel too bad!

Ran around Mitch park with the fam. Did 8 around the park and the 4x200 at the end 39,36,35,33. Definitely want to start getting at least one track workout a week. Forget how much I love it AND how slow I've gotten!

Loving this cool weather and I'm planning on taking full advantage. Legs are feeling good, bought some new shoes and ready to start upping the mileage. Going to shoot for 65 this week. I normally don't jump my mileage by 10 miles in one week but I feel good. Ill listen to my body and if I feel anything ill back it down but so far so good!!
