| Before we headed back home we did a quick 8 miles. Felt really heavy from taking off the past 2 days. Supposed to be a gorgeous day tomorrow so planning to do my first 16 miler since marathon training last year. I think I've done enough miles and feel confident on my fitness right now. The only question is to sleep in or go in the afternoon?? Nursing a 5 month old and planning morning runs is more complicated than I thought it would be. I guess welcome to parenthood right? Well, excited to see how it goes. So ready to be home and back on a schedule. Vacations are great but I'm ready to hit the training hard this summer and really build up a solid base. Goal for the week-- -strength train 2-3x -run 55-60 miles -back on the diet. |

| Got the long run in and felt pretty good. It was clear day and the sun was out, but not too hot and we had a slight breeze. Felt good the first 8, and then right around 12-13 it was definitely noticeable that most of my runs have been right around there. 1-8:03 2-7:47 3-8 4-7:38 5-7:41 6-7:52 7-7:43 8-7:47 9-7:50 10-7:53 11-7:51 12-7:56 13-8:04 14-8:05 15-8:09 16-7:51 Jake doesn't have to go to school till 9 on MWF so this summer ill be able to up my miles and get some doubles by running with him in the morning. Planning on doing just about 8 tomorrow and strength train. |

| AM Matthew slept in so woke up too late to get a morning run. Went to work early to get a workout in. Warm up Drills/shoulder mobility 15 push ups 15 squats SWOD Hang clean squat to 3 rep max 8,5,5,3,3 (35/45/55/65) WOD 12 min. EMOM deadlift(65) Hang clean V-up --- got to about 4 minutes an had to move down the weight to only 45 pounds. I held up to about 8 and then my arms started giving out. I can definitely feel my core holding me back in workouts. Unfortunately I don't think it'll get back to normal for about a full year. Kills me though because my core used to be so strong pre-baby. And your core is the root of every exercise/run. Just need to keep consistent! 5 max attempts for L sits 60 donkey kicks |

| Ran around Mitch park with the fam. Did 8 around the park and the 4x200 at the end 39,36,35,33. Definitely want to start getting at least one track workout a week. Forget how much I love it AND how slow I've gotten! Loving this cool weather and I'm planning on taking full advantage. Legs are feeling good, bought some new shoes and ready to start upping the mileage. Going to shoot for 65 this week. I normally don't jump my mileage by 10 miles in one week but I feel good. Ill listen to my body and if I feel anything ill back it down but so far so good!! |
