| Watched my husband run the Little Rock Marathon. My dad and I just jogged around different parts of the course and to see the race and got an easy 8 in. | I counted today as an off day. Walked outside with a friend and ended up walking around 6.5 miles and then walked another 2 in the evening with the family. It was just too nice. Can't believe I didn't go for a run!! |

| Ran around the OC Trail with the family. My intentions were to get out on the track to do a little tempo-ish run. But that was cut very short when we were kicked off the track :( So we settled for the trail around OC. I wasn't worried about pace or anything. The goal was to just push the pace and get my heart rate up for a set amount of time. |

| Today was the first good run since coming back. It was just a nice easy 7 with Jake at around 8:40 pace and I didn't feel like I was completely dying. PROGRESS! It was post rain storm weather which was absolutely perfect. Just a slight breeze and mid 60 degrees. Wish we could have a lot more of those days. |

| Super cold windy day. I was set out to do 10 but we rolled back to the car at around 8.5 and that was fine with me. The forecast for next week is supposed to be all high 60s and mid 70 degree weather so I figured I could get some longer runs in then. My day yesterday wore me out a little more than I thought because we were just jogging around I was pretty tired. Just taking it day by day and hoping to stay consistent with my miles this week. Goal for the week is to hit around 35 miles, so we'll see how it goes! |

| Just 4 today! Ran outside in the afternoon and it was almost 80 degrees. So beautiful, and felt wonderful to have the sun! However, this was the first time running on my own with the stroller. A lot harder than it looks. The goal was to get 6 but i was totally dehydrated and worn out. Total whimp! Not only am I going to have to get in running shape, but get used to pushing that stroller! |

| Such a beautiful run this morning! I wish I could run in those conditions everyday! Finally got a solid 7.5 hours of sleep thanks to my sweet little boy for finally sleeping through the night:) Just went for a nice 7.5 miles and it felt okay. I just recently got some new shoes, the same shoe I've gotten before and loved and they seem to be hurting my feet. I was planning on running a couple more in the evening but I think the shoes left a bruise right below my ankle bone. Hopefully it will feel better tomorrow. Jake has the week off this week so planning on waking up for a little run and then heading down to San Antonio. Going to up my miles just a tad bit this week. But we'll see how the week goes! |

| Been a while since i've logged my miles but i'm back and motivated. Tonight just went for a little evening run with the fam around the lake. The wind had finally calmed down and we couldn't resist the beautiful weather. We were ALSO needing to run off the pizza from lunch, so that helped too! We averaged about 8:10 pace which is good because by the end of my runs I'm not completely dead. I accomplished what I was thought was the impossible on Saturday. I went for a short little run with my jogging stroller AND my crazy dog at the same time. I was so incredibly proud of myself. This means two things. 1) I will have a more well behaved dog and 2) I can now run other places other than outside my house during the busiest time because I won't feel like I am going to be attacked going around Hefner in the middle of the afternoon! So I wasn't going to run in the upcoming Memorial Marathon(I was only going to do the half), but my husband convinced me to just go ahead and do it anyways and see where I am in my training. It should be interesting to see where my fitness is right now considering all I've done for about 2 months now have been easy runs and just trying to build my miles. But my runs have been getting easier and I'm about up to 40 miles a week which feels pretty good. Anyways, planning to get up and get an easy run in then hoping to get a little circuit done in the afternoon. Hope I won't be as sore as I was last workout, but we'll see! |

| Got up in the morning to do a quick 5. Around 10 went to CORE to get a quick lift in. Warmed up the hips a bit and then did 3 rounds of: - 10 push press (45)

- 100 jump rope
- 10 assisted wide grip pull-ups
- 30 sec. USC drills
- 10 back squat(45)
After resting for a minute I cashed out with 3 rounds as fast as I could: - 10 back squat(55)
- 10 GHD sit-ups
- 10 box jumps
- 10 hanging toes-head
Had planned to do a night run but feeling beat. Run longer tomorrow!

| Such a beautiful evening and decided to just get my longer run in tonight. Felt pretty good. Met of with friends and then Jake met me halfway around the lake and finished with me. My cardio strength is slowly coming back, unfortunately the same calf problem I had all last year training for the marathon is starting to come back. I have no idea what the problem is. On all my long runs last year, right around mile 10 my calves and and foot would cramp up on the right leg. I tried everything! Salt tabs, pickle juice, goos, chomps, water, gatorade. NOTHING WORKED. During the marathon I hoped it wouldn't pop up but right around lucky mile 10 it made its appearance and lasted all through mile 20. It absolutely killed my time because I had to keep stopping and stretching. It was the most frustrating thing because my energy was up and my breathing was under control. I wanted to keep pushing the pace but I couldn't. Last week during my longer run with my husband it happened again. I really want to find the solution to my problems before I get into heavy training this summer. It would make my long runs much more enjoyable and not to mention allow me to push the pace and actually get stronger. I'm always up for new suggestions. So if anyone has anything that might help, I'm all ears!!! Hope everyone enjoys their long run this weekend:) |

Ran 10 tonight with the family. Wind had finally died down and it the weather was so nice. Felt pretty good, got a little tired towards the end but that could be from dehydration or taking a day off before. Plan on training right through the half this weekend. I'm finally starting to feel good on my longer runs, and I want to use it as just a time trial to see where my fitness is at. The goal is to be anywhere from 45-50 this week and then I plan on just staying in the 50 range for about a month and just work on getting in some faster miles, and getting stronger.

| Did a morning run. My body just felt horrible. I'm trying to cut weight right now and in the evenings have been trying to do little carbs and the night before Jake and I ran 10, but we did it super easy and then had dinner. I don't know if it was from the 10 or the lack of carbs but the 8 just felt awful. My body was dead and it just felt like there was nothing in me. I think especially because I'm nursing and as long as I'm running everyday I need to up my caloric intake for the day and not try to cut out carbs in the evening. Bad idea. I'll still be at a deficit just from all the calories I'm burning as long as I'm just not OVER eating. |

| Giving myself a little rest day. It was nasty weather outside and I was still feeling a little dead from the previous day. I walked on the tred for a couple miles then did a little training circuit. Light weight and short since I'm running this weekend. - 400 sprint uphill

REPEAT 3 more times. After I got a good sweat worked up and my heart rate going, I cooled down with an easy 3 miles. |

AM- 5 miles with Bailey this morning. It was such a gorgeous morning! It is starting to get lighter earlier, so that's really nice. It was mid 30s and no wind! Felt so much better than earlier in the week. Legs felt fresh and springy. Planning to do a couple more miles tonight with Jake but we'll see when he gets home:) PM- 3 mi. Did a quick run with Jake this evening. I wasn't going to run longer on Friday or Saturday so I figured today was the day to get in a little more. Planning to take the next two days just a little easier in hopes to keep my legs fresh and light for Sunday. I decided after the half it will kick off the next phase of training. I want to take the next 6 weeks, still building my miles but adding in atleast 1 day a week of tempo/speed work. It's time to get my turn over going. |

| So the race went pretty well. I started out with the goal of staying under 8, since all of my runs have all been around that pace. Mile 1 I came in around 7:20 and obviously with adrenaline and racing it felt super easy. So I stayed conservative and decided if I can keep all of them under 7:45, I would be happy with that. I got to around mile 8 and all of them were right around 7:30 and I felt great! I had to take a pit stop really bad, and it ended up taking around a minute...yikes. So after that, I felt a lot better and picked it back up. Right around my favorite mile 10, my cardio felt GREAT, but my stupid leg started cramping up. I was so angry and was NOT stopping. Kept going and then it started to loosen up until it moved up to my hip/glute. I was so angry, I only had about a mile left and it was so painful. With about a half mile to go I HAD to stop and try to stretch it out because at that point I couldn't even stride it out. So chip time was 1:43, but according to my watch it was 1:39 and my watch had us at 13.30 as well as many other different runners. I didn't let my watch keep running when I stopped because I was really curious about what kind of shape I was in. So overall I felt really good about the day and hope to start working on my foot speed and figuring out what I can do about this whole cramping issue! |

After the Half I told myself I was going to start doing tempos so tonight was my first one. 1.5 warm up, 1.5 @7:15-7:10, .5 easy, 1.5 7-7:10, 1 cool down. It was super windy down at the river so I think if it wasn't as strong I think it would have felt easier. But I dont think it felt too bad for breaking away from the regular 8-8:30 pace.

| PM- Felt lazy all morning and finally around 4ish decided to head out. I had hoped to do 14 and felt really good, but I started feeling a little soreness in my shin and I am planning on doing 8 in the morning so after 10 I stopped. This is the first run I've pushed myself and actually felt really good after. I don't know if I didn't cramp because every time I stopped at a light I stretched but I finally could push it at the end of my run. - miles 1-4-- 8 min pace.

| Before we headed back home we did a quick 8 miles. Felt really heavy from taking off the past 2 days. Supposed to be a gorgeous day tomorrow so planning to do my first 16 miler since marathon training last year. I think I've done enough miles and feel confident on my fitness right now. The only question is to sleep in or go in the afternoon?? Nursing a 5 month old and planning morning runs is more complicated than I thought it would be. I guess welcome to parenthood right? Well, excited to see how it goes. So ready to be home and back on a schedule. Vacations are great but I'm ready to hit the training hard this summer and really build up a solid base. Goal for the week-- -strength train 2-3x -run 55-60 miles -back on the diet. |

| AM Matthew slept in so woke up too late to get a morning run. Went to work early to get a workout in. EMOM deadlift(65) Hang clean V-up --- got to about 4 minutes an had to move down the weight to only 45 pounds. I held up to about 8 and then my arms started giving out. I can definitely feel my core holding me back in workouts. Unfortunately I don't think it'll get back to normal for about a full year. Kills me though because my core used to be so strong pre-baby. | First 18 miler since I found out I was pregnant with Matthew. Felt pretty good. Tried not to care too much about what the watch read but I think for most of it we averaged about 8:30s. | Brookhaven was today. Jogged around for a few miles before and then raced. Pr today with 19:43. I was pretty happy with it especially considering it was so hot. I was planning on running more but for some reason my body was exhausted. So instead I decided to call it a day. Planning to do 16-20 tomorrow. Haven't done a 20 miler yet since Matthew and I think I might tomorrow or Monday. I really have this urge to try to do them all on my own. I've never gone longer than 13 by myself training and so I wanted to test myself mentally. We'll see what happens. |

| Around 10 I finally decided to get the day going and go out for my run. My legs felt so good so I told myself I was going to do 20. It wasn't terribly hot out so I thought I'd' be fine. I did 10 on my own and the decided to swing by the house and jake and Jason were going to finish it with me. Around 12 miles my body started to feel drained. It really surprised me because it was only 12 miles. I really wanted to do 20, but my body was telling me otherwise. So I kept going. Right around 14 I reall started to bonk. I felt likei had NOTHING in me. So smiles 14-16 were really rough and I finished up at 18.5 and decided to call it a day. I averaged 8:30 so I didn't feel too bad about it. For the month of September I'm really staying away from sweets and processed foods. I think last night I just didn't consume enough calories and I'm still nursing. So from now on I'm going to take Uchann the night before or morning of longer runs. |

| Hopped into a 5k this morning and was very surprised with how strong I felt. Warmed up a few miles and then during the race this was the 2nd time I forgot to bring my watch but I think it's good luck because I got a new PR. It was said that the course ended up being a little short but even if it was a tad short I think I still would have been under 19. I actualy felt like I was able to keep a strong pace in the beginning through the halfway point and on the way back I felt like I got stronger.
Just need to pick the miles back up and be consistent with icing and rolling out my calves to keep my shins from any injuries. I can feel a little pain on my left shin on the same place where I've had multiple stress fractures. It makes me a little worried but as long as I can manage it and not let it get too out of control I'll be fine. During my lifting sessions I've tried to monitor the exercises I do that contain bounding or jumping, and now I only wear my lifting shoes when there is no movement involved.

| Did 10 around Hefner in the evening with the family. It was fairly nice weather out, not terribly hot and it felt good. I've noticed on my recovery runs my pace is dropping and that feels good. It used to be so hard for me to drop below 8 min pace for a solid 10 miler and now my average is about 7:40s maybe at the slowest 7:50s. So training is definitely heading in the right direction.
Need to try and get a solid tempo workout in soon.

Our overall pace was 8:14 and my cardio felt really strong. However, my legs and joints were what hurt the most. But overall i'm very pleased with where I'm at and a little over 2 months left to train.

| Ran on the river this afternoon. Just did an out and back and it was quite pleasant. Wanted to go really easy and let my body recover for the week. Legs felt really good after. Really have to refocus and stay consistent with my diet. Still have a little bit more I want to lose and I know the only way its going to happen is by cutting my portions and eating really clean.
Hoping to hit the same mileage this week, goal is 75. I gotta remember to ice after every run and be religious about rolling out my calves!

| Had intentions to run 15 since I had taken off some days earlier in the week...But out in the middle of my run I had met up with Bailey and she was going to do about 5-7 with me and we were almost to the turn around and I started feeling dizzy and shaky and my blood sugar took a serious dip. Thankfully I had Bailey there to take over the stroller but had took walk about a mile back. Need to still tweak my nutrition to figure out what works best before runs and still lose weight.

| Poor Matthew has been struggling this week and finally last night around midnight it was in full effect. He was up all night and I took him into the doctor this morning and he has croup. Didn't really feel up to running after Jake got home from work so I went to the gym around 7:30.

| Warm up on the tred for a mile and then dropped down to m.p. for 2. Jake wanted to get another 4 in so I went with him and we were about 7:05-7:07. Felt like I could have kept going for another 3-4, but I can definitely tell that I need to do more threshold miles/speed work. Planning to do some mile repeats maybe on Wednesday.
Finally getting closer to race weight. I felt like for a while I plateaued for about a month/month and a half and couldn't drop below 117. Finally down to 114 and would be really happy if by December I could get under 110. Really want to consistently stay at 80 miles a week by the end of October. Thankfully my shins feel a lot less tender since I switched to some new shoes with a little more cushion.
Going to get 8-12 in the morning. Really hoping Matthew feels a lot better in the morning so I can go with Jake outside and finally enjoy some fall weather!

| Raced a 5k in Cushing, ok for a little cash money:) this time the course was actually 3.1. So I was a little bummed my time wasn't faster, but atleast I'm not getting slower! I went out a little too fast in the first K and so through the second one I was a little more tired than normal. It was a great morning to run though, a little breezy but nothing too bad. Didn't get a long run this weekend, but this was probably the first weekend I didn't go long in a while. |

| Went up to Wichita Saturday afternoon to watch jake run the Prairie Fire. It was a fun weekend. The weather is finally feeling like fall so I'm looking forward to doing more speed work and really getting into higher milage. Got in 12 for the day just jogging around the course with Matthew. Feeling motivated about upping the miles and really committing to atleast 2 faster workouts a week. Planning to do a half this coming weekend, but going to train through it and see where my fitness is at with about 8 weeks till the Marathon. |

| Been so bad this last month about blogging my miles but been keeping my miles anywhere from 45-65 miles. This last week was NOT what I would have liked to be at 4 weeks from the marathon but thats okay. Went up to Tulsa today to help out Bailey run the Route 66 marathon. She did awesome and cut a TON off her time and finished in 3:35. It was just a TAD too cold for my liking. But overall it was a great workout and last long run before I start tapering just a little. If anything I know I'm atleast in better shape than I was for my last marathon. Despite it being too cold the pace felt very comfortable. So i'm hoping with a flatter course and maybe just a tiny bit warmer weather I can get a good time in.
Want to try and still hit some good milage this week, maybe somewhere in the 70-80 range and then 2 weeks out drop down to 50-60, and then my last week hit about 30? Really excited to just race and see what I can do. After my race I'm really looking forward to regrouping and hitting some really high milage but also work a lot on my speed.
Going to just take it easy tomorrow and do about 5 miles or break up a double to get more milage and then hit a good quick workout on Tuesday.

| Got 17 in the afternoon. The weather felt pretty nice, a little overcast and around 55. Felt good to just take the first 8 easy and then wanted to keep it around 7:45 pace and finish at race pace. Felt good for the most part. I think mile 16 was my slowest and I finished in 7:27 pace which was the plan. Want to get about 55-60 this week and then drop it down for the week of the race. Need to get a couple shorter speed work outs in.
